One of my favorite ways to design a Central Park engagement session is to start at Bethesda Fountain, enjoy a romantic rowboat ride from the Loeb Boathouse, capture stunning shots around Bow Bridge, and finish with a stylish outfit change under the breathtaking arches of Bethesda Terrace! Starting at Bethesda Fountain

Bethesda Fountain is a must for any Central Park engagement photoshoot! The Angel of the Waters sculpture, the sweeping staircases, and the gentle sound of the fountain create an atmosphere that’s both grand and intimate. Get ready to engagement photos worthy of a Rom-Com movie poster!

I always recommend arriving early in the morning or during golden hour to avoid the crowds and capture the soft, flattering light that makes your photos glow! Bethesda Fountain’s classic architecture offers endless possibilities for romantic, editorial-style shots.

Romantic Rowboat Adventure from the Loeb Boathouse

A short stroll away is the iconic Loeb Boathouse, where you can rent a rowboat and add a touch of adventure & romance to your NYC engagement session!

Imagine drifting across the lake, surrounded by lush greenery and skyline views, as Bow Bridge comes into view. The boathouse doesn’t take reservations, it’s first come first serve. So I recommend coming right when they open in the morning or early before your sunset engagement session incase there’s a wait!

Once you’re back on dry land, we head to Bow Bridge—an absolute favorite for any Central Park engagement photographer.
